  • Our first session is a chance to get to know each other. We will discuss what brings you to therapy, what you’re hoping for, and together, we’ll set goals for our work.

  • It depends on your goals. Some clients come in with a specific focus and feel satisfied in a few months; others stay longer for deeper exploration and ongoing support.

  • My style is collaborative, supportive, and practical. I blend somatic and cognitive strategies to help you tune into your needs, set boundaries, reduce stress, and feel more grounded and confident.

  • I am an out-of-network provider, which means that I do not directly participate with any insurance plans. Many people have out-of-network benefits and can be reimbursed for psychotherapy services by as much as 40-100%, depending on the plan. If requested, I can assist you in submitting claims for reimbursement. Here are some questions that might be helpful to ask your insurance company:

    1. Does my plan offer any out-of-network benefits for mental health?

    2. Do I have a deductible? If yes, how much of it has already been met?

    3. Are there any limitations on the number of sessions my plan covers for mental health?

    4. How much will I get reimbursed per visit when I see an out-of-network mental health provider?

    5. Do I need any type of prior approval or referral in order to get reimbursed?

Clients are always responsible for payment at the time of visit.

  • Payment is accepted in the form of credit (which includes FSA or HSA cards) or debit cards and is collected at the start of each session.

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let me know at least 48 hours in advance of your appointment time. I am happy to reschedule a missed appointment within the same week if we can find a time that works for both of us. If we are unable to reschedule a missed appointment and you have provided less than 48 hours notice, you will be responsible for the full appointment fee.

  • Absolutely! Confidentiality is crucial in our work together. What you share in our sessions stays private, with a few legal exceptions for safety. We’ll go over this in more detail during our first meeting.

  • Under the federal law called the No Surprises Act clients are entitled to to a Good Faith Estimate (GFE). This is a document that provides you with an estimate of the expected costs associated with your therapy services. This estimate is designed to help you make informed decisions about your mental health care and to understand the financial aspects before beginning treatment.
