      <image:caption>You are used to managing a lot and doing it well. You are capable, intentional, and often the one others rely on. And still, your mind rarely turns off. There is a constant tracking, a thinking ahead, a sense that even when things are good, something underneath never quite quiets. Maybe that shows up as striving, where accomplishments land but never fully satisfy, and the next goal is already forming before you can appreciate what you just did. Or maybe it shows up as a long habit of putting everyone else first, so ingrained that the idea of your own needs mattering can come as a genuine surprise. Often it is some of both. That is exactly what I have spent over 20 years helping people with. Not just understanding these patterns, but actually feeling different inside them. I grew up in New York in an environment where achievement was never quite enough. I know firsthand what it feels like to keep reaching, to accomplish something and find the bar has already moved. That experience carried through Dartmouth and Columbia, and into my life as a parent, where I have encountered a completely different but equally relentless kind of pressure. The food, the schools, the screen time, the constant question of whether you are doing enough or doing it right. That lived experience shapes how I listen and what I notice. I understand these patterns not just clinically but personally, which is part of why I know they can actually change. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with advanced training in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Somatic Therapy including Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. Clients often tell me they feel genuinely heard in our sessions, and that I ask the kinds of questions that help them access something they could not quite reach on their own. I am warm, but I will also be honest with you about what I am noticing. People often find that combination both grounding and a relief. The goal is not just insight. It is for things to actually feel different, in how you relate to the people you love and how you treat yourself when things get hard. If something here feels right, trust that.
